After the critical success of their 2009 debut album ‘Another City, Another Sorry‘, the art-rock quartet returned from a hugely productive US tour to begin work on the follow up which they describe as ‘the sound of a band maturing quickly’ after the ‘finest recap of their teenage years condensed into one thrilling pop record’ which was their debut.
The new LP has been recorded and produced by the group on old analogue equipment found in a skip outside their city rehearsal studios, which subsequently transformed into a makeshift recording studio. Very much at the forefront of a new Manchester scene which includes their rehearsal mates Everything Everything and Delphic, ‘Animals‘ is the sound of a band set for an exciting 2011.
