The Strokes are set to perform a homecoming gig of sorts . The New York City quintet is set to take the stage at Tommy Hilfiger’s 25th anniversary bash this Sunday which is part of the city’s annual NYC Fashion week reports nme.
A small crowd of special invite only fans will see the gig at New York’s Metropolitan Opera House , DJ Paul Sevigny is the party’s opening act.
Frontman Julian Casablanca earlier scheduled a release date for the band’s fourth album which will be a followup to their 2006 LP “First impressions of Earth”. The band have been in the studio working on the new material after headlining the Isle of Wight Festival earlier this year.
