The National will release the second single from their excellent new album ‘High Violet’ at the end of this month. ‘Anyone’s Ghost’ will follow previous single ‘Bloodbuzz Ohio’ on the 28th.

Hotly-tipped indie band The Drums have told digital station XFM they are not concerned about evolving as a group, and feel any future material will retain the sound of their earliest tracks. “Half of the album was recorded a while back and the other half was recorded over the past six months,” guitarist Jacob Graham told the station’s Evening Show. “We’re the sort of band that’s not really interested in evolving or changing, so anything we’ll ever put out will always feel like it’s still a part of us.”

BBC 6Music have aired a documentary chronicling the life of legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, in which Jimmy Page spoke of the immediate impact Bonham made on him: “The reputation of John Bonham hadn’t really come outside of the Midlands but he got this gig with Tim Rose and was playing in London,” he said. “And I heard him and I thought he’s definitely the drummer to try and pull on board. It was his attitude to his playing, but the dynamics as well that was the key to what I was going to try and get together in this Zeppelin band.”
