Not just US presidents get an occasional shoe tossed at them as Kelly Jones from UK band Stereophonics learned the hard way. The band were performing a gig at Singapore’s Fort Canning Park on Friday when an overly excited fan (or perhaps foe) hurled a sandal at the front man’s face.
Yahoo news reports that Kelly was hit by the flip flop and stopped his performance to pick it up and muttered “Thank You”, the band then walked off stage. Security removed the man responsible and Jones and his band mates returned to finish the gig.
Stereophonics are hitting the road in the UK later this month and are set to play the first concert at the new Cardiff City Stadium.
