English progressive rockers Muse reverse their decision from 2009 and will pick up the music charity award for 2010.

After turning down the award in 2009, the group has now agreed to be presented the Silver Clef award by the charity’s music therapy foundation. A year ago the band did not think that they deserved to win the title and rejected the award which is an honor given to musicians who raise money for charity.

Frontman Matt Bellamy says, “We are delighted to be presented this year’s Nordoff Robbins Silver Clef and join the ranks of such artists as Robert Plant, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Elton John and The Who.

“Nordoff Robbins is an exceptional charity that has a positive impact on so many people’s lives and we are very proud to be recognised by them.”

The prize-giving ceremony will take place in London on 2 July and will be hosted by Sharon Osbourne.
