Flowers‘ news of his first solo album, Flamingo, released later this year, was announced via a Killers fan site Tweet. Fans were directed to two official websites, thekillersmusic.com and the brand new brandonflowersmusic.com, where the homepages revealed the new solo project’s title. Readers can sign up for email updates on the new ‘Flamingo’ LP there. The Killers sort of let the cat out of the bag a few days ago when they alluded to the news via their own Twitter post. The group confirmed the news but have not given out any other details such as a release date yet.
In the beginning of the year the band had to cancel several dates in Australia due to the death of Flowers’ mother. The group also announced that they were taking a break from touring, while assuring their followers that the future of the band was not in danger.
I suppose you can get away with calling your first album Flamingo – luckily Brandon is from Vegas and in a band called The Killers……..
