Billy Corgan appears to have re-fueled his feud with former partner Courtney Love after the Smashing Pumpkins frontman launched an attack on the Hole singer via Twitter.
The row between the pair was brought into the public domain last month, when Corgan criticised Courtney Love for using tracks that he had worked on her band’s new album. “It would be a real big problem,” he told Rolling Stone. “I haven’t given my permission. I have no interest in supporting her in any way, shape or form. You can’t throw enough things down the abyss with a person like that.”
After Corgan’s initial outburst, Courtney Love attempted to calm the situation, releasing a statement on Facebook apologising for any offence she might have caused Corgan. “We have again created beauty from the agony between us,” she said. “I apologise all the thousand ways I sometimes offend you.”
However, Corgan has now reopened the war of words, and wrote on Twitter yesterday: “Go [somewhere] nice and live off [Kurt Cobain’s] money. Have your moment. Burn up in the sun that laughs at as equally as it appears to celebrate sleep knowing have no honour.”
The world now waits with baited breath to see if Courtney will be as reserved in her response as she was before…
