Scotland’s Idlewild are playing a series of shows across the UK this month. One of the last decade’s most successful acts, they returned in October last year with the new album ‘Post Electric Blues’ which was described as seeing ‘Idlewild continue to evolve into a distinctly positive, melody-orientated rock band.’

Alberta Cross were formed in New York by Petter Ericson Stakee & Terry Wolfers and released the self-produced ‘The Thief & The Heartbreaker’ in 2007, which was followed soon after by the EP ‘Leave Us Or Forgive Us’. They confirmed their status as one of the best new bands around with the release of their excellent first full release ‘Broken Side Of Time’, which was dubbed an ‘intoxicating mix of apocalyptic riffs, sob-worthy singalongs and brooding blues’ by NME.
