In a double blow to organizers of Australia’s Good Vibrations Tour, both the US rockers The Killers and UK outfit Friendly Fires have opted to pull out of the festival performances in Sydney and on the West coast.

The Killers site family illness as the reason and Friendly Fires have not made the trip to Australia due to a family emergency effecting one of their band members.

The Killers have also pulled the plug on tomorrow (Feb. 12) night’s sold-out show at the 2,000-capacity Enmore Theatre, which was meant to serve as a warm-up for their Saturday show at the Good Vibrations Festival in Sydney, and the following day’s GVF event at Perth’s Claremont Showground.

The Killers, who were the main draw at the festival, said they still intended to perform at the final two legs of the Good Vibrations Festival, which roll out Feb. 20 on the Gold Coast, and the next day in Melbourne.

The dance oriented bill of the tour includes includes Basement Jaxx, Armand Van Helden and Gossip.
