Pearl Jam have announce their first seven, of eleven total scheduled, headlining and festival appearances in Europe for the Summer of 2010. The US rock vetrans will be kicking off the tour on June 22 in Dublin.
Further scheduled stops are Belfast, Ireland; London; Berlin; Arras, France; Werchter, Belgium; and Oeiras, Portugal. The support acts for the tour have not been announced yet.
Pearl Jam’s Tour is in support of it’s newest album ” Backspacer ” which is enjoying huge success after debuting at #1 in Billboard’s 200 chart. The second single from the project, “Just Breathe,” jumps 20-18 this week on Billboard’s Modern Rock chart.
The groups front man Eddie Vedder made a surprise appearance at the Kennedy Center Honors, paying tribute to Bruce Springsteen last night.
