The Twang Announce Album Release Date

Once declared “the best new band in Britain” by NME, the Twang are returning in July with a new album. The quintet behind “Either Way” and “Wide Awake” have returned to follow up their debut album with one that has drawn material from the ruckus their first album originally caused, and the subsequent dichotomy they created of love-us-or-hate-us.

But rather than writing about tour buses and fans, frontmen Phil Etheridge and Saunders, and bassist Jon Watkin detail their own personal experiences as well as those of friends and lovers.

They’re calling the sophomore release Jewellery Quarter. The album is set to drop July 20, with the debut single “Barney Rubble” to proceed it on July 13.

Two weeks ago the band posted the new single on their MySpace page for fans’ listening enjoyment, and the band will post a new remix of the track every week until the song is officially released.
