Paul McCartney is slated to play a fundraising gig in Atlanta’s historic Piedmont Park.
The former 67 year old Beatle is scheduled to perform on August 15 at Piedmont Park on behalf of the Piedmont Conservancy, which cares for the park.
The gig is expected to surpass the 50000 visitors that came to see the Dave Matthews band play the park together with the Allman Brothers back in 2007.
Proceeds raised will go to maintain and expand the very popular rest area in Midtown Atlanta.
The park dates back to a private club founded in 1887.
