Blur Plays First Gig in a Decade

Albarn , Coxon and Co. played their first gig in nearly 10 years today ( June 13 ) to a small group of friends and family. The group chose a railway museum near Colchester in Essex to stage their live comeback. The performance was close to the town center where the band had their debut performance 10 years ago.

The NME reports Albarn told the audience: “It’s a bit different to last time we played here,” and later added “Thanks for coming to see us play. I don’t know if it’s been 10 years, but 10 years is an easy number!”

Coxon and Albarn seemed to be getting along great as the Band performed ‘Out Of Time‘, the track Coxon did not feature on during his absence from Blur during the “Think Tank Sessions”.

The audience even got to participate in a hand  vote between the two classics Sing and Essex Dogs ( checkout the Glastonbury version from 1998) which the latter won before the group ended their two hour gig with For Tomorrow and The Universal.
