The Killers cover Oasis during V Festival headline gig

The Killers covered Oasis‘ 1996 single ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger‘ last night (August 18th) during their headline appearance at the Staffordshire leg of this weekend’s V Festival, as Noel Gallagher himself treated fans to his own version of the classic track over at the event’s sister-site in Essex.

Official V Festival 2012 line up announced

Chelmsford and Staffordshire are ready to host V Festival 2012 in August and tonight festival organizers revealed another power packed line-up.

Headline performances by Noel Gallagher, The Stone Roses, The Killers, and Snow Patrol are now confirmed as well as appearances by the likes of Happy Mondays, Inspiral Carpets, Miles Kane and The Enemy.

US Alternative Rock N Roll heavy hitters Kings of Leon and English Indie rock favorites Kasabian have now been officially confirmed as the two headliners for the V festival’s 15th anniversary, happening on 21 and 22 August, in Hylands Park and Weston Park.

Simian Mobile Disco, who have recently been working with the Arctic Monkeys on their album ‘Humbug‘, release their own record ‘Temporary Pleasure’. For those of you with 50 quid burning a hole in your pocket, a 6-cd celebration of Woodstock – ‘Woodstock 40: 3 Days Of Peace and Music’ is released on Monday and for anyone who hasn’t bought one of the 86 others, a new Rolling Stones compilation ‘Jump Back – 71-93′ is out this week.
