Twin Atlantic‘s second studio album ‘Free‘ is amongst the records shortlisted for the inaugural Scottish Album Of The Year prize.

Twin Atlantic will head out on a UK tour later this year amidst a growing momentum surrounding the band following the release of their 2011 album ‘Free‘.

Scotland’s Twin Atlantic premieres their video for “Apocalyptic Renegade” on Fuse, recorded live at the O2 Academy in Glasgow.

Glaswegian alt rockers Twin Atlantic stopped by The Studio @ Webster Hall in NYC in support of UK headliners You Me at Six and won over the capacity crowd of hard to please New Yorkers from the get go with their signature tight and energetic set. Twin Atlantic have announced details of a UK & Ireland tour to take place this coming April.

And so to the third and final part of Live4ever’s 2011 retrospective. A year packed with some genuinely outstanding releases, 2011 has enjoyed some of the most unanimously acclaimed records of recent years; PJ Harvey has won seemingly every award up for grabs thanks to ‘Let England Shake’, Kate Bush has wowed everyone with her first record of the decade, while the likes of The Boxer Rebellion, FIGO and The Minutes have come to the party with equally impressive, under-the-radar efforts just as deserving of your precious time and attention.

Scottish rockers Twin Atlantic have unveiled details of a UK tour to begin towards the end of November 2011.

Beginning at the Cardiff CF10 on November 28th, the band will close out the month with further shows in London (29) and Brighton (30), before a first show in December at Birmingham’s Academy on the 2nd.

The annual arrival of the Reading / Leeds Festival always signals the beginning of the end for another hectic season of UK summer festivals, and it usually helps each year to go out with a bang, and with a bill that packs in homecoming heroes, some of the US’ finest, and a wide selection of bright young things, this year looks like being no different.

So, after wading through the many stages and many, many artists ready to descend on the twin sites in just over a week’s time, the Live4ever Ezine has picked out ten acts we feel you should not be missing over the course of the weekend – might take some manic dashing to fit them all in though…
