In light of London’s The Boxer Rebellion having to recently cancel their scheduled headline tour of North America, the band has released a gorgeous live video of “The Runner” from their sold-out show at Shepherds Bush Empire in London for their fans. Filmed on Thursday, September 29, 2011 by renowned filmmaker Giorgio Testi, director of the band’s “Step Out Of The Car” music video as well as the Grammy-nominated Blur documentary No Distance Left To Run, this HD clip from the show illustrates exactly why this international band continues to be praised for their unparalleled live spirit. Check it out below.
The Boxer Rebellion have announced the largest UK headline show of their career to date.
The band will perform at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire on September 29th, confirming an astonishing rise since the independent release of second album ‘Union‘ in 2009.
The Boxer Rebellion have unveiled details of a new US tour to begin this October, which the band have exclusively told the Live4ever Ezine will be ‘different, bigger and better’.
From today (July 27th), fans will be able to pre-order tickets, and in doing so will be offered a very limited edition, numbered, unique poster for each venue, as well as the band’s new live album ‘Live In Tennessee‘, which was recorded in frontman Nathan Nicholson’s hometown of Maryville on October 12th, 2010.
Summer’s here and up and down the UK and beyond bands are hauling themselves through rain, mud, occasional sunshine and irritating TV presenters as another festival season gets in full swing. So with 2011 already careering towards July, it seems like a good time to sit back, take stock of the first six months of the year, and sort through the best of what has been hogging the speakers at Live4ever so far. Is rock n roll music currently in a state of stagnation? Hmm, let’s just say, judge for yourself…

Los Angeles isn’t for everyone.
The traffic is terrible, the seasons never change, and the city itself is sprawled out and stretched so thin that even long time inhabitants are often overwhelmed by its immensity. Drinks are expensive, friends are fleeting, and half the town’s deepest desires are dashed as quickly as they are dreamt up. In a place known for its warm weather, so many still find it so easy to feel left out in the cold.
Fortunately for them, The Boxer Rebellion isn’t everyone.
It might be easy to call it bias to say the best spot to be for most of Thursday at SXSW was at Live4ever’s ‘Two Fingered Salute’ hosted at Antone’s, but by the end of a series of exhilarating gigs, bias just didn’t come into the equation.
Our event is taking place at the legendary Antone’s, beginning at 11AM and continuing until 5:30PM on Thursday, March 17th, 2011. Located at 213 West 5th St. in downtown Austin, Antone’s is widely regarded as one of the top live music venues in Austin.
