The details of the Smith Westerns‘ new album have been confirmed as the band prepare to follow-up the 2011 effort ‘Dye It Blonde‘.
Chicago three-piece the Smith Westerns have announced a clutch of North American tour dates which are expected to be their final live commitments in support of the 2011 album ‘Dye It Blonde‘.
NPR Music, together with Seattle’s KEXP and partner public radio stations from around the country, is bringing the soundtrack to this weekend’s barbeque by live webcasting and broadcasting three days of music from the 10th annual Sasquatch! Music Festival in Quincy, Washington. From May 28-30, NPR Music is teaming up with member stations KEXP, KUT Austin, OPB Portland and The Current from Minnesota Public Radio, to offer dozens of full sets from acts playing the sold-out Festival’s four stages, including Bright Eyes, Death Cab for Cutie (whose new album is previewing now at NPR Music’s “First Listen”), Deerhunter, Foo Fighters, Flying Lotus, J Mascis, Major Lazer, Old 97’s, Robyn, Smith Westerns, Surfer Blood, The Thermals, Twin Shadow, Washed Out and Wilco.
