Silversun Pickups have announced a string on North American tour dates following the release of their ‘Neck Of The Woods‘ album in May.

On their website the band wrote following about the album:
From inception to fruition, a series of happy accidents led Silversun Pickups to the transcendent Neck of the Woods. Every step on the journey was marked by true synchronicity in action – the stars aligned, clouds parted, the cosmos smiling down upon the band. For their part, Silversun Pickups take a more pragmatic view.
“Some people believe in The Force,” Aubert says, “but I’m more like Han Solo – I think it’s just dumb luck! We definitely prepared for if the luck came, but that doesn’t mean that anything we did necessarily had that much to do with how well things went. I don’t know what we did to deserve it, but we’re thankful.”

Independent LA based rockers Silversun Pickups have been nominated for the Best New Artist Grammy Award. In the history of the Grammys only 10 fully independent bands have ever been nominated for music’s most coveted award.
Lead singer Brian Aubert explains, “This was never something in our sights. We have never even had a fantasy about this. It just wasn’t on our radar. However, we do feel insanely proud of our label and everyone involved with us. The nod from the Grammys makes us feel real warm inside. We’re astonished, excited, and completely humbled by it.”
