United Nations Of Sound leader and former Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft has released details of plans for a one off intimate acoustic show to take place at London’s Union Chapel venue on 7th December 2010.
Following the release of their eponymous debut album in the UK last July, Richard Ashcroft‘s new project The United Nations Of Sound have confirmed a new record deal which will pave the way for a US release of the LP.
Former Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft has said he was forced to cancel a selection of planned collaborations for his new project the United Nations Of Sound as many of the people he wished to work with were in prison.

Richard Ashcroft took his new band United Nations of Sound on their first Australian tour but ran in to problems during their very first song of last night’s (Aug 1) appearance at ‘Splendour In the Grass‘ Festival.
After smashing his microphone to the stage floor during the gig’s opening track ‘Are You Ready‘ the singer walked off stage and did not return, prompting some in the audience to chant “wanker”, according to fastlouder.com.

Richard Ashcroft and his new group United Nations of Sound are going to be releasing their debut album this month. Oddly enough, the Brit Rock legend went on the attack this week and told Shortlist Mag that he believes Britain’s music scene has become stale and dull as people chase fame.
