New releases from veterans Neil Young and Patti Smith have landed straight in the top ten of this week’s UK Record Store Album Chart, which is topped by Gary Barlow‘s Jubilee-tinged record ‘Sing‘.

R.E.M have announced the tracklisting of their forthcoming new album ‘Collapse Into Now‘ via a newsletter sent out to the band’s mailing list subscribers, reports slicingupeyeballs.com.

London’s The Duke Spirit triumphantly return with a collection of new songs, entitled ‘Bruiser‘, set for release in Spring 2011 on Shangri-La Music.  The band’s eagerly anticipated third studio album was helmed by producer Andrew Scheps at Punkerpad West in Los Angeles, CA, with additional mixing done by Alan Moulder at Assault and Battery in London.

R.E.M have enlisted the talents of Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder and Patti Smith on their forthcoming new album, according to band member Mike Mills.
