Highlights of another New Tunes Guide packed with under-the-radar mp3s, videos and Soundcloud links come this week from Reading four-piece Mellor, who found their way onto BBC Introducing after just one solitary gig, The Lake Poets, the project of singer-songwriter Martin Longstaff since 2010, and Australia’s Sheppard, who are gaining an ever-growing fanbase thanks to their ‘alternative indie pop sound and youthful vulnerability’.

Live4ever’s New Tunes Guide feat. David Bronson, Formes and The Divers

Another week, another fabulous collection of under-the-radar mp3s, Soundcloud link and YouTube videos for our latest edition of the New Tunes Guide. Highlights this week come David Bronson, who has finished a mammoth 22-song cycle which will be broken into a two album collective called ‘The Long Lost Story’, the first of which comes out January 7th next year. Formes, a Leeds band formed by brothers Steve and Jordan McNamara earlier this year after sporadic jam sessions, and The Divers, a band initiated by a merging of various musical projects around solo artist Pete Hickman.

Among the highlights this week are Liverpool’s Dead At Sea, a ‘dizzy concoction of Sonic Youth, Pavement, The Strokes and Echo And The Bunnymen’, new folk songwriter Will Miles and his strong DIY ethics, and UK duo Paradise with their impressive debut single ‘Endless Wave’.

Live4ever’s New Tunes Guide feat. Crushing Blows, The Plea and Night Beds

We’ve sorted through our packed inbox for this week’s New Tunes Guide, to bring you all best under-the-radar mp3s, Soundcloud links and YouTube videos. Among the highlights this week are Crushing Blows; taking their inspiration from the likes of Talking Heads and Pixies, the Derbyshire band have received significant radio support from 6Music and BBC Introducing amongst others. There’s also The Plea, who hail from Donegal and will follow up their impressive 2010 maiden EP with a debut full length album this year, and Winston Yellen’s main creative spark Night Beds, whose sound is described as occupying a place somewhere between ‘Mark Kozelek, Gram Parsons and the dreamier side of My Morning Jacket’.

Among the highlights this week are Shields, described as ‘one of the most exciting bands to emerge from the North of England’s finest new music scene’, Sheffield garage duo Bromheads, set to release ‘a fast, furious, and energetic’ EP later this month and The Rebel Light, who are keeping the indie spirit alive by ‘recording the vocals in their bathroom and the drums in a wood shed’.
