Mumford & Sons bass player Ted Dwane has been discharged from hospital after undergoing emergency surgery on a blood clot on the brain, but the band’s scheduled headline appearance at this weekend’s Bonnaroo festival has been cancelled.

Mumford & Sons believe agreeing to headline Glastonbury later this month is the ‘biggest risk they’ve ever taken’.
“A lot of our songs have four-on-the-floor drum patterns, which is a big part of their music,” so says Vampire Weekend bass player Chris Baio, as the band look ahead to a spate of touring along side Mumford & Sons.
Mumford and Sons will be the headliners at London’s Olympic Park on July 6, it was announced.
This will be the renovated venues first headline show and will feature handpicked bands such asĀ Vampire Weekend, Ben Howard, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes the and sister trio Haim , the NME reports.
Mumford & Sons are due to travel to Ireland later this year for a one-off outdoor concert.
