Coldplay will be joined by rap superstar Jay-Z during their performance at the London Paralympic Games’ closing ceremony, according to the Daily Mirror newspaper.
Pearl Jam‘s headline gig at last weekend’s Made In America Festival in Philadelphia included a special cover version of Jay-Z‘s classic rap single ‘99 Problems‘.

Fan footage of the cover has been posted on YouTube, and can be viewed below.

A group of independent festival organisers have hit out at what they claim are over-inflated prices being paid by major festivals for their artists, and has said fans will suffer unless spending is curbed.
Here are the latest tours and festivals announced this week. Don’t miss out, there are tickets available by clicking on the ticket links next to the event:
The Brit Awards have confirmed that Alicia Keys and Jay-Z will perform ‘Empire State of Mind‘ during the gala night, which is held in London on February 16
“Alicia is a fantastic addition to the show. I can’t wait to see her and Jay-Z perform one of the biggest songs of the year,” Brits Committee chairman Ged Doherty said.
US band The Strokes are to make their long awaited UK festival comeback next summer when they headline the Saturday night at The Isle Of Wight festival. The announcement marks the return of the band who have been taking a break since the release of 2006′s ‘First Impressions Of Earth‘.
The band recently confirmed they have written new material set for a new album, but no confirmed details have yet been given. Earlier this month, frontman Julian Casablancas released his debut solo LP ‘Phrazes For The Young‘ to widespread critical acclaim, while the band’s seminal debut record ‘Is This It?’ was voted NME’s Album Of The Decade earlier this month.
The MTV Europe Music Awards, to be held in Berlin on November 5th, will feature star studded performances by Shakira, the Foo Fighters, Jay-Z, U2, Tokio Hotel and Leona Lewis.
As Live4ever previously mentioned, U2 will play a free show in front of the Brandenburg Gate before the awards show is held at the O2 World stadium in Berlin.
Rap star Jay-Z has told British newspaper The Sun that he would be interested in working with Liam Gallagher after the future of Oasis was left in doubt by the departure of Noel Gallagher in August. Jay-Z’s comments come in response to a recent admission by fellow rap star Snoop Dog, who joined a growing list of acts who have declared they would like to work with Noel Gallagher.
Jay-Z told The Sun: “I hear Snoop Dogg might be teaming up with Noel. If that’s the case then I would love to work with Liam,” Jay-Z told The Sun. “Their music is tight and I think we could blend our styles well.”
