U2 frontman Bono is aiming for a ‘futuristic’ new album, according to producer RedOne.

Gorillaz are to release their so-called ‘iPad album’ ‘The Fall‘ on the more traditional CD and vinyl formats in April.

Damon Albarn‘s hugely successful project Gorillaz could be over if weekend reports in the UK’s People newspaper are to be believed.

Gorillaz front man Damon Albarn has announced that the next Gorillaz LP will be made available as a free download this Xmas.

The band’s fourth studio album was actually created on the singer’s  iPad during the recent US tour and will be available online on Christmas Day.

The ever-busy Damon Albarn has revealed he is now finishing work on his latest side project – the long awaited hook up with Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ Flea.

The world’s most famous bunch of cartoon weirdos performed a concert on the David Letterman Show last night. Gorillaz took the stage at the Ed Sullivan Theater accompanied by their string orchestra and played 9 songs which were made available via stream.

Set List: Kids With Guns, O Green World, Superfast Jellyfish, On Melancholy Hill, Empire Ants, Dirty Harry, Glitter Freeze, Feel Good Inc, Clint Eastwood.

After receiving mixed reviews following their hastily arranged Glastonbury headline appearance this June, the animated band’s leader Damon Albarn has said he now finds portions of Gorillaz set ‘funny’.

With registration for next year’s Glastonbury festival set to close today, organiser Michael Eavis has stated that he will announce the three acts topping the bill on the Pyramid Stage in 2011 once the final ticket has been sold.

Rock heavyweights Muse and Kings Of Leon have received three and two nominations respectively for this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards which are set to take place in Madrid, Spain on  November 7th.
