The first acts due to take part in the 8th annual Liverpool Music Week have been announced today, with heavyweight dance act Leftfield leading the early line-up.

Lady Gaga has cemented her status as one of the world’s leading popstars this week after topping both the UK Album and Singles chart. Her LP ‘The Fame‘ has climbed four places to the top spot, while her single ‘Telephone‘ is also this week’s no.1. Elsewhere, hit TV show Glee’s Volume 2 soundtrack enters at #2, to go with their Volume 1 edition which is still going strong at #6.

Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip are the double act that fuse street poetry with hard house beats. A successful release in the shape of Angles under their belts, what do the band have to offer when it comes to their second outing, ‘Logic Of Chance’. Before my review of the new album, I managed to catch up with the enigmatic lyricist, Scroobius Pip, and tried to find out a bit more about their brand new album.
