Elbow, Paul Weller and Bon Iver have been confirmed as headliners for this year’s Latitude festival.
Justin Vernon, principal member of Bon Iver, has continued his criticism of the Grammy Awards, branding the ceremony as ‘too self-important’.
Bon Iver leader Justin Vernon has revealed the band have turned down an invitation to perform at this month’s Grammy Awards.
After waiting three years for the follow up to 2008 debut ‘For Emma, Forever Ago‘, Bon Iver fans could be in for another long vigil after the band’s principal member Justin Vernon revealed he doesn’t have any songs written for a new album.

The nominees for the first ever Aim Independent Music Awards, established in July by The Association of Independent Music to highlight the best of British-signed indie music, have been announced today, with Adele, Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver amongst those up for awards.
Adele‘s big-selling album ‘21‘ is back on top of the UK Album chart, replacing last week’s no.1 ‘4‘ which drops one place. The Horrors‘ new record ‘Skying‘ scores a more than respectable debut at #5, while Foo Fighters‘ ‘Wasting Light‘ stays in the top ten (#8). Elsewhere, Arctic Monkeys‘ ‘Suck It and See‘ drops to #15 and Bon Iver‘s self-titled second album is at no.33.
