The Killers have finally handed an official release date to their next studio album.

After it was first announced way back in November 2019, we now know Imploding The Mirage will be out on August 21st, produced by the band with Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado in Los Angeles and Park City, UT as well as Las Vegas. It features a varied list of celebrated contributors, including Lindsey Buckingham, kd lang and Adam Granduciel.

It wasn’t just their album which suffered a delay; the band’s UK and Ireland touring is now set for 2021 after they said on social media that during the ongoing pandemic, ‘the single most important thing is that you all take care of yourselves and be safe and healthy’.

“These are going to be the same great shows, but we have to move them to next year,” they added. “All tickets will be honored, so we really hope you will join us. If you can’t, please contact your ticket agent.”
