The Manic Street Preachers will play two shows in Cardiff at the end of this year in support of the NHS.

The first night at the city’s Motorpoint Arena on December 4th will be a free one for NHS workers, while all profits for the following night will go to NHS Wales charities. Tickets for the December 5th show go on sale from this Friday, April 10th at 7pm UK time.

“We wanted to do something to show our appreciation, love and respect for the NHS and its amazing brave workers,” the band say. “One free show and one fundraising show seemed the best way for us to express our deep gratitude for all their heroic work.”

Next up for the Manics in their run of reissues is the 1993 second album Gold Against The Soul which is getting a re-release on June 12th.
