Idles have announced a short December UK tour which will conclude with the biggest headline show of their career so far.

When you release an album like Joy As An Act Of Resistance, you want to play it to as many people as possible and Idles have certainly been doing that since its release last year; frontman Joe Talbot has said the landmark headline gig at Alexandra Palace in London will be a chance for the band to bring this campaign to a close in style.

“Alexandra Palace will be an opportunity for the community and fans which built itself around us to join us in celebration with what has been an incredibly humbling turn of events,” he’s stated. “We are adamant on pushing things forward and making this something special so that as many people as possible can enjoy together for one night.”

“We want to put the last 12 years to bed with a celebration of everything and everyone we have worked for. It was a dream of ours to have got this far so now we will put on a run of shows before we move on to the next album.”

New tour dates:

December
3 – Glasgow, Barrowland
4 – Manchester, Academy
5 – Leeds, O2 Academy
7 – London, Alexandra Palace
