The Black Keys didn’t spend much time on the line-up for Woodstock 50.

Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach have pulled out of the event citing a ‘scheduling conflict’, leaving a pretty sizable hole in the bill for Saturday, August 17th whose main acts also include Chance The Rapper and Sturgill Simpson.

The line-up for the 50th anniversary of Woodstock wasn’t met with universal praise upon its unveiling last month but Michael Lang, its original co-founder, has previously insisted this will be ‘the only authorized commemoration of the iconic 1969 festival’.  “The Woodstock 50th Anniversary will be about sharing an experience with great artists and encouraging people to get educated and involved in the social issues impacting everyone on the planet,” he said.

“It’s so inspiring to see young people today channeling their passion into causes they care about. That’s something that’s always been a part of Woodstock’s mission, and it’s a big focus at the 50th festival.”
