Fontaines D.C. yesterday gave BBC 6Music the first play of their new track Big, and have now made it available to purchase via the usual outlets.

Already a firm favourite for those of us familiar with Fontaines’ live sets, it’s been set as the opening track to the band’s debut album Dogrel, which has a release date of April 12th and contains previous singles Too Real, Boys In The Better Land, Chequeless Reckless, Liberty Belle and Hurricane Laughter.

“Boys in the Better Land was written subconsciously, as a kind of reaction to the buying and selling of culture across the seas,” they told Live4ever of our #1 track of 2018.

“It is the sort of buying and selling of anything and of marketing in more general terms. It’s the idea that you can buy a life that is more desirable so it’s a bit of a tirade against people who go over those parts of society.”
