What with their penchant for all things Mulder and Scully and frontman’s Matt Bellamy’s assertion this week that he might have been abducted by aliens when he was a teenager (less striking is the qualifying quote ‘it might have been a helicopter or something’), the unveiling by Muse of a first ‘AI’ music video today is especially fitting.

“AI is so often deployed in a very invisible way, so it was exciting to collaborate on a project with the band that brings it to the fore,” the tech development agency Branger_Briz have said.

“We think it’s important to have public discourse about the promise and perils of these emerging and incredibly influential technologies and it’s great to work with Muse to instigate those conversations.”

Using ‘the latest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning’, a new lyric video is going to be created every day for a month, all to new single Dig Down.
