Liam Gallagher closed out his maiden solo live performance in Manchester last night with an acapella version of the Oasis classic Live Forever.

It was a poignant way to end a gig whose proceeds were donated to those affected by last week’s atrocity in Manchester; Live Forever one of several classic tracks from his former band which Gallagher aired at the Manchester Ritz.

Entering to Fuckin In The Bushes – as Oasis had done consistently since 2000 – Gallagher opened with Rock N Roll Star and went on to also perform Morning Glory, D’You Know What I Mean?, Slide Away and Be Here Now, the latter of which featured a guest appearance from Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs.

The setlist was packed with tracks due to appear on his upcoming debut solo album too, these including first single Wall Of Glass which will get its premiere on BBC Radio 1 later today.
