It looks like any hopes fans might have had for an Oasis reunion of sorts at the Supersonic premiere next month have been dashed.
The possibility of Liam and Noel Gallagher appearing together in public for the first time since Oasis split in 2009 was always a remote possibility, but the London premiere of the documentary did at least spark the chance of throwing the estranged brothers together on October 2nd.
But Liam Gallagher – who’ll be jumping on a helicopter straight after the red carpet festivities in London to partake in a Q&A with director Mat Whitecross in Manchester – has claimed elder brother Noel will not be attending the first screening in London, or doing any press for the movie at all.
His tweet reads:
“So the Ronnie Corbett of rock n roll aka Noel Gallagher not doing press not attending premiere for oasis film 2 words S**T BAG LG x.”
Supersonic follows Oasis from Manchester to Knebworth between formation and superstadom, long before that Paris dressing room bust up finally drove them apart for good.
