Fatboy Slim and Mystery Jets will be helping to celebrate ten years of Oxjam next month.

The tenth anniversary of the volunteer-led music series is to be kicked off by Fatboy Slim in Dalston, London on October 3rd, starting hundreds of gigs across the UK.

“I’m delighted to be playing at Oxjam’s tenth birthday,” he says. “The festival is an amazing opportunity for local bands and gig organisers to raise the profile of local talent and by doing so help people fight poverty. October is set to be a musical month to remember thanks to Oxjam.”

For their part, Mystery Jets will be touring Oxfam shops in Leicester, Preston, Newcastle, Edinburgh Cambridge – meeting fans and playing records – and performing a gig in Reading.

“We’re super excited to be running an Oxfam Shop Tour,” they remark. “For us an Oxfam shop is the ‘go-to’ place to get our vinyl and find new inspiration for our tracks.”

“Oxfam shop music selections are unlike other music shops, in that you never quite know what diamonds you might find in each shop. We’d love for fans to get involved in our Oxfam Shop Tour by coming down to the shops to see us.”
