The Libertines have joined Way Out West’s 10th anniversary in Gothenburg between August 11th-13th.

Previously confirmed on the bill are Jamie xx, Chvrches, Massive Attack, The Last Shadow Puppets and others as The Libertines enter what looks like being the final vestiges of the reunion which began in 2014 and brought a third studio album last year.

Just before playing an intimate show last week at the Boogaloo pub in north London, they appeared to suggest as much when using Twitter to deliver their oft-quoted Vera Lynn line, ‘We’ll meet again, don’t know where, don’t know when’.

Keep in mind too that Pete Doherty is likely to have a new solo record out before the end of this year after studio sessions at Clouds Hill in Hamburg with Johann Scheerer, resulting in part in the recent ‘World Is Our Playground’ single.
