The Strokes will be in Los Angeles later this month for the inaugural City Of Angels Benefit Concert, which is working to raise funds for three local, non-profit organizations.

It’s set to be The Strokes’ sole LA show of the year and is held at the Wiltern venue on its 85th anniversary on July 25th.

“Homelessness and mental health are big issues in LA and we’re happy to do a little something that can hopefully help a bit,” frontman Julian Casablancas comments.

“The Center in Hollywood and Waste Not Want Not Now are great, well-intentioned and trustworthy charities doing wonderful work.”

The charity gig has become part of an increased period of activity for The Strokes recently; their appearance at Governors Ball in New York and the release of the ‘Future Present Past‘ EP is to be followed by a headline appearance at Australia’s Splendour In The Grass festival shortly before this LA show.
