Liam Gallagher has given fans one of the clearest notices yet that he is about to make a comeback into the music world.

Back on his Twitter account last night, Gallagher warned ‘so called troubadours’ and ‘plastic rock n rollers’ that he is ‘on his way’, this after more tweets had made similar hints at a return during recent weeks, contradicting previous messages that he would avoid launching a solo career.

Looking deeper into the former Oasis frontman’s social media activity, which can feel a bit like delving into the world of Alan Turing and the Enigma machine, appears to point to recording sessions in Los Angeles, but any further details are yet to be known.

Liam Gallagher immediately formed Beady Eye with the fellow Oasis bandmates who had been left marooned in a Paris dressing room by Noel Gallagher very nearly seven years ago.

However, after two studio albums Gallagher again used the medium of Twitter to announce their split, simply thanking fans for their support before going into what appeared until now to be early retirement.
