Ozzy Osbourne intends to continue solo after Black Sabbath’s retirement

While his band might be ready to put their black boots away for good, Ozzy Osbourne has no intention himself to retire.

The return of Black Sabbath since 2012, and the story of one of Britain’s most influential rock bands, will come to an end on home soil early next year when two nights at the Genting Arena in Birmingham round off their The End farewell tour.

However, Ozzy has told Billboard he has every intention of carrying on his almost as long-standing solo career once those shows are completed.

“It’s not me that wants to retire, it’s Black Sabbath,” he said. “I’ll be continuing my own musical thing. My wife is good at telling me partial information, but I know I’m not hanging my boots up for a while.”

“Being Ozzy Osbourne solo again is not a job. It’s a passion. It’s a love. It’s the biggest, greatest love affair of my life.”

Black Sabbath also play January/February 2017 UK gigs in Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds and London.
