Watch The Last Shadow Puppets’ comeback arrive on Later…With Jools Holland

The return of The Last Shadow Puppets paid a visit to Later…With Jools Holland last night (May 24th).

Alex Turner and Miles Kane have been hard on the campaign trail since their partnership reignited with a new album earlier this year, and aired ‘Aviation‘ on Later…, taken from their UK number one ‘Everything You’ve Come To Expect‘. Ahead of release, we sat down with Alex and Miles to discuss how their partnership had been rekindled eight years on from debut ‘The Age Of The Understatement‘.

“For me I’d always thought if we were going to do one of these again we’d need a stimulus like we had the first time,” Turner told us. “We’d just become friends and were enjoying each others’ company. We had something we were chasing after that we’d just found, and I thought if we were going to do it again, do we need a new thing that we’re going to be chasing after?”

“I realised that’s not the case because, as important as that reference material was for the first record, really it’s about the songs themselves and us creating them together.”
