Kasabian have swiftly added a second night at the King Power Stadium in their home city of Leicester.

Tickets have barely been on sale for an hour at the time of writing, but with those for the original date of Saturday, May 28th now all gone, the band have arranged another gig for the following day.

It’s almost certain to be a party for the Premier League champions, indeed Leicester City could wrap up one of the most unlikely title wins this weekend. Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, Kasabian’s chief songwriter Serge Pizzorno said this success is rubbing off on the band’s new material.

“It’s bound to in some way seep into the music you know,” he said. “In some ways because it has been such a big six months.”

“I’m in the studio at the moment experimenting. It’s inevitable that creatively it will rub off on you in some way.”
