Biffy Clyro and Fall Out Boy have been confirmed as the second pair of co-headline acts for this year’s Reading/Leeds Festival.

It means a total of five bands are officially leading the event, with fellow co-headliners Foals and Disclosure already confirmed as well as, out on their own, Red Hot Chili Peppers.

“This year really is a big one for Reading and Leeds,” organiser Melvin Benn has said. “Five headliners across three days – it’s a first for us and the UK festival scene.”

“We’re always looking to give Reading and Leeds fans something new and this year isn’t going to disappoint. Biffy Clyro and Fall Out Boy are going to be incredible.”

“We are honoured to be asked to close Reading and Leeds this summer,” Biffy Clyro have added. “We had one of the best nights of our lives last time and we’re going to do all we can to make it even bigger and better in 2016.”

There’s been plenty of other acts confirmed to go with the new headliners, these include Chvrches, The Vaccines, Savages, Cage The Elephant, Blossoms, AlunaGeorge and Maximo Park.
