Noel Gallagher and The Coral are the big climbers on this week’s UK Vinyl Singles Chart.
On a rundown which continues to be dominated posthumously by David Bowie, Gallagher’s ‘The Dying Of The Light‘ – 2015’s biggest selling single on the vinyl format in the UK – jumps up six places to #6, while The Coral’s ‘Chasing The Tail Of a Dream‘ is up ten places to re-enter the Top 20 at #12.
Dedicated vinyl album and singles charts were launched by the Official Charts Company last year in recognition of the continuing resurgence of the traditional format – the singles chart is compiled from sales of 7″ and 12″ records.
