Jeff Wootton confirms debut single ‘The Eternal’

Manchester musician Jeff Wootton will release his debut single ‘The Eternal’ on November 6th.

Part of the track’s sound is borne out of Wootton’s stint in Mali as part of Damon Albarn‘s musical project The Africa Express, where one of its prominent instruments was laid down – as he explains:

“It features an African instrument called Imzad, which is a rare single-string bowed instrument used by the Tuareg people in Africa. I recorded the Imzad when I was in Mali with Damon Albarn.”

A full length album entitled ‘The Way The Light’ is due on February 26th 2016 on which Neil Young, Brian Eno, Jimi Hendrix, Flying Lotus, Jonny Greenwood and Jon Hopkins are cited as influences. This after a first headline show at The Red Gallery in London on October 21st.
