The Spitfires announce new London show, ‘4AM’ single

Watford-based newcomers The Spitfires have added a new live show in London for later this year as they prepare to release the single ‘4AM‘ on August 14th and debut album ‘Response’ on August 21st.

“4AM was one of the later tracks to be written for the album,” explains frontman Billy Sullivan. “It’s just about being skint and how it makes general living a struggle. Your girlfriend thinks she deserves better than you, the landlord’s driving you mad because you haven’t paid the rent and in the end you lay awake at night thinking about it.”




“Lyrically I’m not trying to be sophisticated or particularly clever – just painting a picture of mundane life.”

The Spitfires play two sold-out gigs in Brighton not too long after the album’s release, and have added the new London date at 229 on December 11th. Their tour schedule now looks like this:
