The Maccabees, Spector sign up to Cassette Store Day 2015

The Maccabees and Spector are among the first acts to have confirmed special releases for the third annual Cassette Store Day.

Similar to Record Store Day, the initiative aims to celebrate an often overlooked format, and will have The Maccabees’ recent ‘Marks To Prove It‘ album available on tape, while Spector will issue their own new LP ‘Moth Boys‘ on October 17th.

“Cassette tapes aren’t just a format, they’re a culture, and cassette culture is as much about collaboration as doing it yourself,” co-founder Jen Long remarks.

“This year we’ve gone even further to try and include as many tape fans around the world. We want as many people as possible to be able to get involved and put out a tape, put on a gig or event, or get hold of that release they really want.”
