The Libertines have unveiled ‘Glasgow Coma Scale Blues‘ from the impending ‘Anthems For Doomed Youth‘.

With crunch, scatter and retrospective lyrics, it’s full of familiar Libertines ingredients and will be included on the band’s new album when it is released on September 4th along with lead single ‘Gunga Din‘.

Pete Doherty has previously spoken of the inspiration he took from his late friend Amy Winehouse during the LP’s recording – even though she was never much of a fan of his songwriting.

“She was never a massive fan of my songwriting, or at least she never admitted to it,” he told NME. “She was a bit of a harsh critic, but in a lot of ways we were kindred spirits, and all the boys loved her. She was quite inspirational as well, because while she was critical, that’s because she had very high standards.”
