Royal Blood will provide chief support for Foo Fighters when the band returns to the UK to play rescheduled outdoor gigs next month. TICKETS

Shows at the Milton Keynes Bowl and Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium were cancelled in June after Dave Grohl broke his foot during a tumble off stage earlier that month.

They’ll be back to play Milton Keynes on September 5th and 6th though, with Murrayfield following on the 8th, and Royal Blood have agreed to play both shows. The duo will be joined by Iggy Pop in Milton Keynes and Honeyblood in Edinburgh.

A headline appearance at Glastonbury was another of the Foo Fighters’ summer gigs to suffer from Grohl’s injury. They were replaced on the bill by Florence & The Machine who paid their own tribute at the festival by covering ‘Times Like These‘ – something which Grohl admitted to Q reduced him to tears.

“The day after the gig, someone sent me a link to the performance and I cried like a baby,” he said. “It melted my heart. I am forever indebted to them. It meant so much, you have no idea.”
