The Twilight Sad‘s latest single ‘It Never Was The Same‘, backed by a new version of the ‘Nobody Wants To Be Here and Nobody Wants To Leave‘ album track ‘There’s a Girl In The Corner‘ recorded by The Cure‘s Robert Smith, has topped this week’s UK Vinyl Singles Chart.

Three 1975 tracks separate it and Johnny Marr, who’s in fifth place with ‘Candidate‘, while Future Islands‘ ‘The Chase‘ is another new entry at #7.

The UK Vinyl Singles and Album charts were launched earlier this year in recognition of the boost in sales on the traditional format.
