The Bluetones‘ 1998 album ‘Return To The Last Chance Saloon‘ will be re-released in expanded, 2CD form in September as part of the band’s impending comeback.

Having called it a day in 2011, The Bluetones are back with plans for a UK tour in September, the details of which are below, and have now also confirmed the reissue of their follow-up to the 1996 debut ‘Expecting To Fly‘.

Included in the bonus features will be each of the band members’ favourites b-sides of the era, one being ‘I Was a Teenage Jesus‘, picked by frontman Mark Morriss.

“This is one of my favourite things we ever recorded,” he says. “One of the first songs written for the Last Chance Saloon sessions, it didn’t make the cut for the album as I think we felt it was a bit too light-hearted at the time.”

“It ended up a b-side for Solomon Bites The Worm, but to this day is still one of the most requested Bluetones songs at my solo shows.”
